The Stephen H. Wilder Foundation is funding innovative projects in Cincinnati which are focused on political discourse and informed policy.
About the Foundation
The Stephen H. Wilder Foundation was established in the early 1940s by Edith Carson Wilder in memory of her husband. Mr. Wilder was an attorney and active member of the Charter Committee.
The Foundation supports inquiries into civic issues. One-third of the foundation's annual income is allocated to the Cincinnati Opera. The remaining balance is to be used in studies or investigation of issues affecting Cincinnati or Hamilton County, either on ballot issues or any question deemed by the Board of Directors to be of general public interest within or beyond the city or county.
“The Wilder Foundation made it possible for us to spark an important dialog in the community about urban forest policy issues, and to broaden our ability to reach new audiences.”
